Chesworth Farm is close to the town. Vehicles can only approach from Queensway (turn left at the bottom of the road) or from Denne Road via Chesworth Lane. There are alternatives if you are on foot or cycle.
Our meeting place is outside the Volunteer Centre down the slope after the depot compound. The postcode is RH13 0AA and the OS map ref is TQ 176 295.
A farm since before 1086, Chesworth is a 90 acre paradise of wild grassland and ancient hedgerow. It is also where the young Catherine Howard, who became one of Henry VIII’s unfortunate wives, once lived.
Free, and open to the public by foot, cycle or horseback, all year round, the farm borders the River Arun. Part of the Horsham Riverside Walk and also the Horsham to Southwater cycle route (Pedlars Way) pass through the farm.
